ALIEF SUPER NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING
Minutes for Tuesday, October 25, 2011
Alief Super Neighborhood # 25 held its regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, October 25th, 7:00 P.M. at the Elsik Ninth Grade Center at 6767 S Dairy Ashford.
PROGRAM:
Chairman, Barbara Quattro, called the meeting to order at 7:05 P.M. Roll Call of council members was done by sign-in sheet. A quorum was present (see attached).
Hospitality: Hospitality was provided by the ASNC.
GUESTS: Catherine Le (Congressman Al Green’s office); AISD Superintendent H. D Chambers; Sara Winkler, AISD Board member; City of Houston Department of Neighborhoods, Chief Inspector, Mayra Hipolite; Carroll Robinson (Candidate for HCC Trustee); District F and AISD School Board candidates (see below).

COMMITTEE & STANDING REPORTS
No Committee business was discussed.
NEW BUSINESS
GUEST SPEAKERS each candidate was given five minutes to speak, two minutes to answer various questions from the ASNC and floor, and a two minute summary. Mike Kreinsen and Frank Garcia were moderators and Monique Pham was the timer. The event was video recorded by Errol Jones of Let’s Talk Business Radio Show. All attendees were encouraged to vote early which began Monday.

UPCOMING SPEAKERS; November speaker will be Catherine Flowers, City of Houston DON (Department of Neighborhoods). The November meeting date has been changed from the 4th Tuesday to November 15th due to the Thanksgiving holiday
PUBLIC SESSION
Public Session and Announcements.
• The quarterly networking breakfast will be held November 15th at the International Trade Center, 11110 Bellaire, Ste, 200, 7:30-9:30 am. Speaker will be from the Marine Unit Dive Team of HPD.
• Early voting has started and one locationyou can early vote is the Hennington Library. Local elections are slated for November 8th.
• The Houston Housing and Community Development Dept. (HCDD) will be holding information meetings in November: one on November 1st at the 6400 High Star Multiservice Center and one on the 3rd at 900 Bagby, 7-9PM. For additional information contact Andrea Jones at 713-868-8300
The next ASNC meeting will be held at 7:00 P.M. on the third Tuesday, November 15th, 2011, at the CenterPoint Energy Building, 12330 Bellaire Blvd.
