Alief residents at the highest risk for infection are those over the age of 65 with heart and lung conditions (including COPD or heart failure). For those who fall into this group, we encourage you to focus on preventing infection and preparing for disruption of your life for the immediate time. All others should try to prevent the spread of infection by frequent hand washings and staying home unless necessary for food, medications and medical attention. Groups discouraged but if must then less than 10 people only if necessary and maintain “social distancing”.
